Poverty is mainly a condition of woc and children because thats who we deny access to shit. Not because we dare to pop babies out of our brown vaginas. Fuck off, pseudointellectual eugenics pushin assholes! And stop bein so predictable.

This makes me think of a presentation I attended today. I may begin to work for an organization that does fundraising and raises awareness of certain issues among the general public for other progressive organizations. One of its clients is Save the Children, which aims to break children out the cycle of poverty through education. They stress that young girls should be educated. Ok.

The young woman said something problematic during the presentation. She echoed a sentiment similar to that of the cisgender white feminists Soydulcedeleche describes. The presenter said that if poor women were educated, it would lead them to make informed decisions about the future - one of these delaying childrearing, and having lesser kids. She implied that this was good. I thought, “Hmmm. There’s nothing wrong with a woman having a houseful of kids. Her education level is irrelevant.”  

But what would I look like, contradicting her in front of everyone?
